The SkillUp Bauchi Fellowship is an ambitious, youth-centered digital empowerment initiative designed to transform the lives of underserved young people across Bauchi State and the broader northeastern region of Nigeria. Rooted in Zee Tech Foundation’s mission to bridge the digital divide, the program leverages a strategic partnership with Coursera to provide world-class digital training opportunities to young people who would otherwise lack access to such learning pathways. The fellowship offers beneficiaries curated global courses, hands-on capstone projects, mentorship, and structured learning support that prepares them to participate meaningfully in today’s technology-driven economy.
At its core, the SkillUp Bauchi Fellowship seeks to close the opportunity gap for young people by providing access not just to skills but to pathways for employment, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Each fellow receives guided instruction through industry-relevant career tracks such as data analytics, UI/UX design, digital marketing, cybersecurity, AI foundations, and software development. The program is intentionally built to remove barriers: all learning takes place physically at the Zee Tech Digital Learning Center, equipped with free laptops, high-speed internet, solar-powered backup systems, and facilitators to guide weekly progress. This ensures that even youths with limited resources or unstable electricity access can complete globally recognized training programs without disruption.
